i watched with great interest the programme 'cctv tonight' 26th May 2009. I have great difficulty initiating support from both the police and my housing with regard to viewing cctv footage, from a camera placed outside of my home address. I have had matters of id/theft and had hoped that the cctv may help with identifying any access gained to my home. Are you able to assist me in anyway. Angela Pilkington.
You ought to request a data subject access request (SAR) under the Data Protection Act 1998 to request for information held about you. It may be more difficult to access other people's information on CCTV. However, for more information, see the ICO website at http://www.ico.gov.uk/Home/for_organisations/topic_specific_guides/cctv.aspx.
